3D Studio

Four interactive simulations of leathercraft operations. Turn the work in your hands, change the parameters, and watch the geometry respond. These are teaching models, not photographs.

Checking WebGL

What these are. Each tool is a real-time 3D model built in your browser with WebGL. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is sent anywhere. They exaggerate geometry so you can see what the thread, the blade or the dye is actually doing — they are not to scale and not a substitute for practice on scrap.

Performance and devices

These tools need WebGL, which every current desktop and mobile browser provides. On a phone or a low-powered machine the scene automatically drops shadow quality to keep the frame rate up. If WebGL is unavailable, each tool falls back to a static diagram and keeps every number working, so you lose the picture and nothing else.

If you prefer not to run 3D at all, the fallback is always reachable from the tool page itself.

Accessibility

Every control is a standard form input, so it works from the keyboard. The 3D view itself can be orbited with the arrow keys and zoomed with the plus and minus keys once it has focus. If your system is set to reduce motion, automatic rotation and animated transitions are switched off.

Simulated results are indicative only. Follow the tool maker’s instructions.
