Stitching Simulator

Adjust leather, thread and pitch to see how a hand saddle stitch behaves before you cut.

The stitching simulator lets you change leather thickness, thread diameter, stitch pitch and stitch style, then see how the seam behaves. It estimates thread length with allowance, stitch count, stitching time and an evenness score, so you can compare setups before committing to leather.

What you are looking at

This is an educational simulation only; real work must follow the tool manufacturer instructions and workshop safety rules.

The model is built from parametric geometry rather than a photographed object, which is why it responds instantly when you move a control. Distances are exaggerated so that a 2 mm change is visible on screen.

Working through the steps

  1. Punch
  2. Thread
  3. Stitch
  4. Tension

Each step lights up as the model reaches it. Reset returns every control and the camera to where you started.
